Product Overview

Designed for homeowners and architects seeking both heritage character and modern energy performance, our wooden French doors are built from multi-layer engineered timber for outstanding stability, insulation, and durability.

Each set can be tailored to your project – from Georgian and Victorian profiles with traditional glazing bars and bolection mouldings to contemporary flush-panelled or fully glazed styles.

Two frame designs are available:

  • 92mm x 60mm profile – ideal for robust outward-opening doors.

  • 79mm x 70mm profile – suited to inward-opening designs, with the option of hidden trickle vents and concealed hinges for a discreet, refined finish.

A Brief History of French Doors in English Architecture

Originally developed in 17th-century France to bring natural light into grand interiors, French doors became a hallmark of refinement and symmetry across Georgian and Victorian England.
As architectural tastes evolved, these elegant glazed doors were adopted for their balance of proportion and practicality – linking drawing rooms, gardens, and balconies with graceful continuity.

Today, our timber French doors continue that tradition, blending the same slender sightlines and classical detailing with modern technology for insulation, security, and longevity.
