The right ironmongery plays an important role in how a timber window or door looks, operates and performs. We offer a wide choice of window and door hardware, from traditional sash fasteners and casement fittings to door handles, locks, hinges, cylinders and security hardware.
Our ironmongery is available in a range of styles and finishes, with options to suit period properties, conservation projects and contemporary homes. PAS 24 tested window and door specifications are also available where enhanced security or Building Regulations require them.

Sash Window Ironmongery
Our timber sash windows can be supplied with a range of traditional and contemporary ironmongery, including sash fasteners, lifts, pulls and restrictors in a choice of finishes.
The hardware specification can be selected to suit the style of the window and property, with options available across our different ironmongery ranges. Window restrictors can also be specified where controlled opening or additional safety is required.
For projects requiring enhanced security, PAS 24 tested sash window specifications are also available.
Door Ironmongery
Our timber entrance doors, single doors and French doors can be specified with ironmongery appropriate to their design, operation and security requirements.
Entrance door options include handles, knobs, knockers, letterplates and escutcheons, alongside the locking system, cylinder, hinges and other functional hardware. Single and French doors can be specified with suitable handles, locking systems, hinges and associated fittings according to the door configuration, operation and security requirements.
Hardware is available in traditional and contemporary styles, with the available fittings and finishes confirmed as part of the individual door specification.
Casement Window Ironmongery
Our timber casement windows are available with a choice of handles, stays, fasteners and hinges, with the hardware selected according to the window style, opening configuration and required level of security.
Traditional fittings can be specified for period properties, while more discreet hardware options are available where a simpler appearance is preferred. A range of finishes allows the ironmongery to coordinate with other window and door hardware throughout the property.
PAS 24 tested casement window specifications are also available where required.
Ironmongery Finishes
Our window and door ironmongery is available in a wide choice of finishes, allowing fittings to coordinate across the different windows and doors within a project.
Available finishes vary according to the hardware range and individual product, with options including traditional brass and bronze tones, polished and satin finishes, chrome and stainless steel.
Because finish availability differs between manufacturers and product ranges, we confirm the available options when preparing the final specification.

Classic Range
Traditional and contemporary ironmongery for timber windows and doors, with a broad choice of designs and finishes. Selected products are independently security tested and can be used within appropriate PAS 24 specifications.
Classic Plus Range
Our Classic Plus range includes upgraded ironmongery options, including hardware manufactured from 316 stainless steel for increased resistance to corrosion. Selected security-tested components are also available for use within appropriate PAS 24 specifications.
Deluxe Range
Our Deluxe range includes specialist ironmongery from From The Anvil and Croft, with a wide choice of traditional and distinctive designs, materials and finishes. These collections are particularly suited to projects where the style and detailing of the hardware are an important part of the overall specification.
Security for Timber Windows & Doors
Security is determined by the complete window or door specification rather than one individual piece of hardware. The locking system, glazing, ironmongery, timber construction and installation all contribute to the overall security of the finished product.
Our timber windows and doors can be specified with a range of security features, with PAS 24 tested specifications available where required.
- Locking Systems – Multi-point locking and security hardware can be specified according to the window or door type.
- Security Glazing – Laminated and other security glazing options are available where required as part of the overall specification.
- Tested Specifications – PAS 24 tested window and door specifications are available for projects requiring an independently tested level of security.
- Window Safety – Restrictors and controlled-opening hardware can be specified where additional window safety or opening control is required.
PAS 24 Security
PAS 24 is a recognised security standard used to test the resistance of windows and doors to methods of attack commonly associated with burglary.
Rather than applying to an individual lock or piece of ironmongery, PAS 24 testing considers the complete window or door specification, including its construction, glazing and security hardware.
We offer PAS 24 tested specifications for selected timber sash windows, casement windows and doors where enhanced security or Building Regulations require them.
Window Restrictors & Safety
Window restrictors can be specified where the opening of a window needs to be limited for additional safety or controlled ventilation.
Different restrictor options are available depending on the window type and project requirements, including solutions for sash and casement windows.
Where restrictors form part of a security specification, the appropriate hardware is selected according to the required window configuration and level of security.
Door Locks, Cylinders & Hinges
The locking system, security cylinder and hinges are important parts of the overall door specification. Our timber doors are supplied with hardware selected according to the door type, opening configuration, security requirements and design.
Multipoint Door Locks
Our timber doors can be fitted with multipoint locking systems, with locking points positioned along the door edge to provide secure closure and help hold the door firmly within the frame.
The locking system is selected according to the door type, opening configuration and security requirements, with Winkhaus automatic locking systems available for suitable single and double door configurations. PAS 24 tested door specifications are also available where required.
Security Cylinders
Our timber doors are supplied with ISEO security cylinders in nickel or brass finishes, selected to complement the multipoint locking system and chosen door hardware. Where black ironmongery is specified, a black Yale cylinder is used.
The cylinder type is confirmed according to the locking system and individual door specification, with suitable security options available where required.
Door Hinges
Our timber doors are supplied with adjustable hinges as standard, allowing accurate alignment and adjustment after installation.
Concealed hinge options are also available where a more discreet appearance is preferred, together with traditional 4-inch butt hinges for projects where the hinge detail forms an important part of the door design.
